Sue was born in Long Beach, Ca, but was raised in the San Jose/Saratoga area. I went to Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley (near Santa Cruz) to become an elementary school teacher. But due to Prop 13, I could not find a teaching position, so I turned to the financial world. I worked for Dean Witter and Merrill Lynch for a total of 30 years, then retired from the corporate world. I decided to do something different and went to work at WGANC/NCGA for over 8 years.

I served as a member on the Women’s Nine Hole Golf Assoc. (WNHGA) Board in 2010-2013 and again 2016-2019, serving as President in 2017 & 2018.
Me and my husband, Harald, have been married for 32years and live at The Club at Castlewood in Pleasanton. Harald is a Project Manager for Lawernce Livermore National Labs and is keeping me in a lifestyle I am accustomed to. We were not blessed with any children but we enjoy having nieces and nephews around to spoil and then send home to their parents.

I am a member of The Club at Castlewood in Pleasanton and have been playing golf for about 28 years but had to relearn how to play after a medical condition left my right side in a very weaken state and I was not able to play for about 3 years. One of the happiest days, so far in my life, was when I was able to get back out there and swing a golf club again.
