Cyndi Yano

2018 Secretary

Cynthia Yano "Cyndi" was born and raised in California.  She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and received a graduate degree from the University of Denver.  She worked for over 20 years in the field of Library Science in Colorado and California.

In 1979 she moved to Eugene, Oregon with her family and since library jobs were scarce she went back to school and received her A.S. in Respiratory Therapy.  Thus began her 30+ years in the healthcare industry.  She worked in hospitals in Eugene, Albuquerque, Monterey, Salinas and Sacramento while also raising four children (two boys and two girls).

With her busy life she didn't start learning to golf until she retired near the end of 2013.  She moved to the Community of Lake Wildwood in early 2014 where she became more involved with golf by becoming a member of the Wildwood Lady Niners.  Since joining the group she has served as: Pink Ribbon Tournament Chair, Friendship Chair and 2016 Tournament Chair.  In 2017 she will hold the position of Co-captain for the Lady Niners.

She looks forward to serving on the WNHGA Board as Director of Rules and Markers and hopes it will offer her an opportunity to make new friends, learn new things, and play more golf.
