The Purpose of WNHGA

The Women's Nine Hole Golf Association was organised in 1973 to promote the interests of women's nine-hole golf and to provide a governing body to maintain uniform standards for all of the nine-hole groups within the organisation.  Membership is open to nine-hole golf groups from private and semi-private clubs.

WNHGA currently serves 40 clubs in Northern California including the counties of Monterey, Kern, Tulare and all of California north of these counties.  The Associaciation is divided into four geographic areas (Central Valley, East Bay, Peninsula, and River Valley) in order to ensure relatively equal representation of each member club.

WNHGA has a great deal to offer its members.  Above all, it is helping to create a new, lively image for women's nine-hole golf, combining the challenge of the game with friendly competition and companionship.
